Job description
A premier manufacturer of aerospace structural parts is looking to hire a quality engineer!
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Supports flow down of all customer and industry standard requirements and communicates that information to ensure that product meets contracted requirements.
- Provides leadership and training for other Quality Engineers/Quality Administrators. T
- Interface with customers and suppliers.
- Maintain a working knowledge of customer and industry quality standards (AS9100 / AS9102).
- Reads and interprets engineering drawings and specifications.
- Understand GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerance).
- Performs internal audits to verify/ensure conformance to requirements and prepares formal audit reports.
- Applies PO Quality clauses to applicable product in MRP system.
- Review manufacturing plans/NRCs created by Engineering and approves them based on compliance with customer specifications.
- Reviews and approves Change Incorporation Requests (CIRs) and Contract Review Records (CRRs) as needed.
- Prepares First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with AS9102 standards.
- Provide technical input for internal disposition on rejected product.
- Submit nonconforming product to customers.
- Analyzes rejection history and provide data to management.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 years Quality Assurance/Inspection experience in the aerospace industry or 5 years QA experience with a degree in a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office products and email systems.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret Engineering Drawings and specifications at an advanced level.
- Fluent understanding of GD&T.
- Documented internal audit experience.
- Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis and RCCA methodology and tools (5 Why’s, Fishbone Diagrams, etc.)
- Basic ability to navigate within Busin.
PAY
- $30/hr-$42/hr depending on experience.
SCHEDULE
- Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
