Job description
The Red Hat North America Public Sector Sales team is looking for an Account Solution Architect to join us in the United States, ideally in the DC Metro area. In this role, you will focus on North America Public Sector Civilian territories. You will act as the catalyst who creates possibilities, solves problems, and establishes working relationships with our customers. You'll discover and analyze our customers’ business and technical needs and collaborate with sales and technical delivery teams to help customers invest wisely in the right solutions from across the Red Hat portfolio, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat OpenShift, and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. As an Account Solution Architect, you’ll need to have excellent communication and people skills, as you'll be a key part of the first major experience our customers have with Red Hat. You’ll also need to have a balance of technical expertise, passion for open source and technology, and detailed understanding of business processes. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Support the Sales team with recommendations for development and implementation of complex offerings and solutions to achieve sales quotas
Meet revenue goals, in addition to deployment and service objectives while maintaining good relationships with existing and prospective customers
Lead critical customer presentations/sessions/demos around business problems, Red Hat solutions, business value, competitive positioning and product capabilities and roadmaps
Prepare detailed specifications of our offerings and implement customer installation plans
Design solutions based on customer requirements and create and deliver solid business cases
Design value-driven architectures and present the application and return on investment (ROI) of our technologies
Deliver compelling recommendations and quality solutions that result in the closing of new sales
Use your skills as a technical solutions expert and your understanding of industry best practices to deliver timely results to customers that satisfy their expectations
Share knowledge and findings to allow team members to learn from your successes and mistakes
Experience in sales engineering, consulting, IT architecture or equivalent in supporting large
organizations.

Ability to understand customers' challenges, requirements and technical issues and collaborate to
address those with the appropriate technologies and solutions.
● Deep experience in developing enterprise level applications and services using Java or similar
programming languages.
● Deep experience with building and deploying applications using modern CI/CD pipelines.
● Experience with kubernetes and containers-based platforms such as OpenShift.
● Fluent language skills in XXX (e.g. English, English and French)
● Willingness to travel within the region.
One or more of the following is a plus
● Knowledge of development technologies similar to Spring Boot, Node.js, JBoss EAP, JakartaEE,
OpenJDK, and Quarkus.
● Knowledge of enterprise application integration technologies similar to Fuse (Camel), API management
(3Scale), and AMQ Streams (Kafka).
● Experience or certification with any public cloud provider.
● Any Red Hat certification.
The salary range for this position is typically $134K Min $218 Max. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications. This position may be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity.”
