Semiconductor System Engineer
About the Job:
As a Semiconductor System Engineer specializing in Inspection and Metrology Tools, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful deployment and performance of cutting-edge semiconductor inspection and metrology solutions.
The role will focus on providing technical support, troubleshooting, and software solutions to ensure the smooth operation of semiconductor equipment and systems.
You will be responsible for working closely with customers, resolving complex software-related issues, identifying new projects and business opportunities, and optimizing system performance.
You will collaborate closely with our engineering and sales teams to deliver high-quality technical support and solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Focal point of contact for SW-related projects at key customer sites
Software Development and Testing:
- Develop and maintain software applications in C# and C++ to enhance the functionality of inspection and metrology tools.
- Collaborate with the software development team to customize solutions based on customer requirements.
c. Create, follow up and present SW project schedules, Gantts, milestones, timelines, and delivery commitments.
d. Manage the periodic SW upgrade version installations at the key customer define the content, assign resources, follow up on execution, and update status.
e. Simulate and fix reported bugs, either solely or with the assistance of the client's HQ SW team.
- System Optimization
- Analyze equipment data and software performance to identify areas for optimization.
- Implement improvements and upgrades to enhance system efficiency and yield.
Data Analysis:
- Analyze data generated by semiconductor equipment to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.
- Implement data-driven improvements to enhance process efficiency and yield.
Customer Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a primary point of contact for technical inquiries and support.
- Understand customer needs, challenges, and objectives, and work towards providing effective solutions.
Technical Support:
- Provide expert technical support for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of semiconductor inspection and metrology tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime for our clients.
Customer-Facing Interactions:
- Conduct on-site visits, product demonstrations, and training sessions for customers.
- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including technical manuals, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of inspection and metrology data by performing rigorous testing and validation.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, sales, and product management, to align technical solutions with business goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience in semiconductor inspection and metrology tools.
- Proficiency in C# programming.
- Exceptional customer management and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits and technical support.
