Job description
Job Summary:
The Oracle ETL Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and managing ETL processes and models in Oracle environments. This role involves working closely with our analytics and business intelligence teams to facilitate the collection, transformation, and loading of data from various sources into our Oracle databases, ensuring the data is accurate, timely, and secure.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robust ETL processes and data pipelines using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or similar Oracle ETL tools.
- Collaborate with data architects and database administrators to implement data warehousing strategies and improve data consolidation.
- Monitor ETL processes, troubleshoot issues, and perform optimizations to ensure efficient data flow and storage.
- Develop and maintain documentation for ETL processes, data models, and data mappings.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and data security policies.
- Work with business analysts to understand data requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Perform data profiling and quality checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data.
- Keep abreast of the latest Oracle technologies and ETL best practices to drive continuous improvement in data strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in ETL development, specifically with Oracle ETL tools like Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
- Strong understanding of Oracle databases, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing principles, and data integration techniques.
- Knowledge of data quality, data governance, and data security practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Proactive in staying updated with the latest technologies and trends in data management and ETL processes.[
