This position is for 2nd Shift: 4pm – 10:30pm
Performs a variety of janitorial and cleaning tasks under the immediate supervision of the Foreman, Lead Maintenance and Custodial Mechanic, or Lead Custodian.
North/East and South County/Hall’s Lake assignments will be posted at a minimum of level 3 and include job site reporting.
Upgrades to Floor Care Custodian will only be from those Custodians who successfully complete and demonstrate knowledge and proficiency from floor care training.
Knowledge of:
• Commercial janitorial practices and methods.
• Equipment, supplies and chemicals needed to perform janitorial work.
Ability to:
• Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
• Frequently lift and carry equipment and items less than 50 lbs.
• Occasionally lift and carry equipment and items up to 65 lbs.
• Repetitively push and pull equipment or items (e.g., trash barrels, mop buckets, etc.)
• Repetitively perform arm and hand motions (e.g., cleaning mirrors, etc.)
• Drive to various District locations.
• Work as a member of a team.
• Understand and follow directions.
• Use the equipment and products of the trade.
• Work with minimum supervision.
• Valid Washington State Driver License.
• Successful completion of a physical abilities test.

• Duties are performed in a variety of environments both indoors and outdoors.
• The incumbent may be exposed to hazardous chemicals and, occasionally, heights exceeding twelve feet.
• Required to stand, walk, or bend for extended periods of time.
• Incumbent must have the ability to bend, climb a ladder, lift and move 65 pounds.
