Job description
Olivine, Inc. is a distributed energy resources (DER) and grid services company on a mission to decarbonize our electrical grid by enabling rapid deployment of DERs through our industry-leading software and technical services. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Technical Project Manager to join us in creating a sustainable and equitable clean energy economy. In this role, you would manage external projects such as technical integrations and internal software and operational projects related to infrastructure, modernization, and operational efficiency.
What you will do - Manage projects from ideation to successful closeout
- Plan scopes of work using a three-tier breakdown structure accounting for resource constraints, task dependencies, and potential issues
- Leverage cross-functional project teams with the experience and skill sets required to achieve project objectives and assign specific tasks to team members
- Understand and document technical requirements, communicating project needs to internal team members – from software development to program management and operational personnel
- Clearly communicate task requirements and deadlines to project team members, ensuring they understand how their work fits into the overall project objectives
- Identify and resolve roadblocks that jeopardize the project schedule to successfully deliver the project on time and within budget.
- Keep internal and external stakeholders informed on plans, progress, and roadblocks
- Lead productive internal and external project meetings - setting the agenda, facilitating the discussion, capturing key decisions and action items, and disseminating notes
- Review and provide feedback on project work and deliverables, ensuring deliverables meet requirements and are delivered on schedule
What you bring - A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years applicable work experience
- Prior experience successfully managing technical and / or energy related projects
- Ability to quickly learn and master new skills and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to understand the technical details of a project and effectively communicate them internally and externally
- Excellent problem solving, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, drive initiatives, and collaborate with a cross-functional team in a fast-changing environment
- Outstanding planning and organization skills
- A drive to continuously improve individually and as a team
Desired / Preferred Skills - Experience working with a technical team
- Experience in a client-facing role
- Experience in the energy industry, demand response, grid services a plus or related roles
