At DICE Therapeutics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Eli Lilly), we design and develop innovative therapies in immunology for patients with debilitating disease. Seeking to create a future where convenient oral medicines with biologic-like efficacy are available to patients with serious medical conditions, we are developing oral alternatives to medicines currently limited to injectable forms.
Responsibilities The successful candidate will assume the responsibility of independently planning and implementing experiments using various in vitro assays and technologies. These will include a variety of biochemical assays (absorbance and fluorescence based assays such as HTRF, AlphaScreen/Lisa, Polarization) and cell assays with engineered cell lines. This person will support pioneering small molecule discovery and support SAR for multiple projects through their data and analysis within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities - Performing key experiments to support drug discovery using biochemistry and cell biology
- Generating high-quality, reproducible data by leveraging liquid handling, laboratory automation and advanced data analysis tools
- Identifying and developing new assays as projects require
- Communicating experimental results and analysis to project teams
Minimum Qualifications - B.S. with 5-8 years of experience, or M.S. with 3-5 years of experience
- Degree in biochemistry, biology, or a related field
Additional Preferences - Demonstrated experience with biochemical assays, mammalian cell culture, and assay development
- Demonstrated ability with liquid handling systems and automation (Biomek, Hamilton, Integra, etc)
- Experience with data analysis software (GraphPad Prism, Dotmatics)
- Experience with protein interaction techniques (BLI, SPR) would be beneficial
- Creativity, a high degree of independence, and enthusiasm to learn new skills
- Strong collaboration, communication, and record-keeping skills
Lilly currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from between $69,000 to $203,750 and will depend, in part, on the successful candidate’s qualifications for the role, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees, including eligibility to participate in a company-sponsored 401(k); pension; vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities).
