Job Description Summary
The Sr. Risk Mitigation Leader is responsible for driving operational excellence across the BL-region NAM, by steering the ITO teams and a strong Risk Review processes, and by (iii) engaging in com-plex negotiations, to grow capabilities & efficiency of bid and customer facing teams to enhance competitiveness in all markets. The role drives change through adaption, improved rigor & quality of deal making and -closing to ensure better customer outcomes while protecting the company.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Owns the ComOps & respective Risk Review process & function ensuring consistent operations in the ITO phase, adherent to our policies, processes & metrics
- Steers, potentially supported by ComOps-Risk experienced team member( s ), commercial teams & different deal-types in bid build, risk assessment & mitigation, negotiations & escalations to ensure top bid quality & risk / reward balance
- Builds & operates Go! & Deal Desk 1-4 for PT-region, drives early engagement / strategy development w/ other BL-region teams, enabling faster decision making
- Takes corrective action, based on LEAN tools, via post-mortem, win-loss analysis & customer feedback, to support word-class offer quality
- Steers and contributes to quality initiatives to drive process rigor, simplification, cash flow and tools adaption (SPEAK, PCDB…)
- Negotiates complex contracts terms, mapping customer needs & understanding GS’s key quality goals & strategic imperatives
- Ensures performance/effectiveness through strong support of deal teams, by challenging risk/opp. assessments/RAM Process
- Drives empowerment through standardized / deal-specific Ts&Cs, engagement with GSMM, and people capability development.
- Jointly with Sales & Legal negotiates Consortium Agreements with Partners and helps driving the qualification of partners and their qualification
- Establishes training & on-the-job coaching to ensure an optimal level of proficiency & knowledge of customer-facing teams in risk/negotiation
- Leads change mgt. to challenge status quo, to reduce cycle time + costs, improve service quality; drives behavioral change
- Interfaces with all functions such as Sales, Tendering, Legal, Finance & Operations, and also with other GS BLs to optimize sales solutions
- Maintains knowledge of market trends & actions, customer requirements, and customer base and understands local particularities of sub-markets across region
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering discipline
- Minimum 3 years of advanced experience in Sales & Risk Mitigation
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, domestically
Desired Characteristics
- Strong knowledge of (Engineering) Procurement & Consortia & Frame Agreement & Subcontract terms
