Project Manager, Sensor Cleaning Systems
Our autonomous client has embarked on a highly ambitious journey to develop a full-stack autonomous mobility solution for our cities. company is seeking a Project Manager to join our Sensor Cleaning System team. In this role, you will act as the point person between the company design engineers and the company suppliers. You will collaborate closely with the company cross functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of systems and assemblies from conception to the start of production. It is crucial to build and manage key relationships with company supplier network while company maintains a lean and agile cross-functional team in-house.
As a key player in this process, you will use your technical knowledge to direct the effort, your expertise to ground the team, and your communication and interpersonal skills to motivate as we redefine a traditional and well-established industry.You will work with the engineering team to develop project schedules, identify milestones, flag risks, estimate budgets, and clearly communicate on-going progress.. You will facilitate and support time-sensitive key strategic and tactical decisions by framing the decisions appropriately and ensuring that information is complete and clearly communicated. It is your job to ensure that all engineering groups are coordinated, understand their priorities, and are on-track to deliver on our corporate milestones on time and on budget.
Responsibilities
- You will develop schedules and work with suppliers, engineers, quality, procurement, and other cross-functional teams to drive open issues to closure and ensure projects are delivered on time
- Ensure every stakeholder understands what they need to deliver at all times
- Establish standard reports to provide concise and effective communications to key stakeholders on program status, issues/risks, and accomplishments
- Ensure problems are transparent and risks are identified and proactively ensure that risk mitigating actions are on-going within the engineering teams
- You will identify and communicate program progress, challenges, and risks while proactively developing and continually updating mitigation plans with engineering
- You will identify, root cause, and track build/design issues that impact the vehicle production launch/production process, ultimately driving to long-term solution
- Set the agenda for key decisions to be made at each meeting to eliminate bottlenecks and retire risks
Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering hardware development, program management.
- Deep familiarity with the automotive development processes, with experience launching automotive electronics modules.
- Experience managing external, international T1 suppliers to deliver through all stages of an automotive development program.
