Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Print Purchasing Coordinator to join our team as a
crucial member responsible for providing support to our Purchasing Team. As a Purchasing
Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in obtaining cost estimates for various print, direct mail,
and promotional items. This role involves effective communication with cross-functional teams,
managing purchasing and coordination of network programs, and maintaining pricing
worksheets. You will contribute to maintaining competitive pricing, ensuring project quality, and
optimizing production workflows.
Responsibilities:
● Calculate and establish pricing for a wide range of print services, including offset, digital,
web print, promotional items, apparel, signage, and more.
● Lead direct mail programs and kitting projects, collaborating with Clients, Internal CRM
Teams, Account Executives, Production Team, and Vendors.
● Manage end-to-end project execution for printing, fulfillment, and inventory projects,
overseeing purchase orders, proofing, delivery, and warehousing requirements.
● Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather project information and provide insights
on print capabilities and design considerations.
● Independently manage projects, ensuring Vendors meet production schedules,
timelines, and quality benchmarks.
● Develop strong client relationships, consulting on printing projects and network programs
to deliver effective solutions.
● Utilize job management software (P3), Zendesk, Excel, and Harvest to estimate,
manage, track, award, and invoice jobs to Vendors.
● Efficiently use Zendesk, P3 Sproutloud App, Excel, and Harvest to manage job status,
assign activities, and store job files.
● Oversee Vehicle Graphic vendors, handling client communication and custom orders,
including installation charges.
● Streamline and standardize vendor costs and pricing for print services, maintaining
accurate cost sheets.
● Keep up-to-date with industry trends and continuously refine cost-effective production
workflows.
● Facilitate communication between Vendor contacts and Client Services Team through
Zendesk tickets for offline production inquiries.
● Assist Purchasing Manager in forecasting upcoming price increases.
● Maintain and update client cost sheets with pricing and cost updates for sproutloud
items.
● Update costs/pricing for frequently purchased online items and ensure accurate usage
information.
● Represent SproutLoud in a professional manner and manage tasks independently.
● Develop a deep understanding of production, mailing, kitting, and logistics applications
and capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in Print Production and Print Buying.
● Strong grasp of Print manufacturing workflows and vendor capabilities.
● Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
● 3-5 years of experience in mail services, kitting, fulfillment, logistics, and data
management.
● Basic knowledge of USPS and Canada Mail Requirements related to Print
specifications.
● Proficient analytical, mathematical, and computer skills, including MS Excel and Google
Sheets.
● Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and self-motivation.
● Ability to multitask and efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
● Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies, processes, and software.
