SAIC is seeking an experienced Finance Analyst to support the Director of FP&A and VP of Finance Operations within SAIC's Army Business Group. They will work closely with the Business Group and program finance teams to accelerate financial growth and operating cash flow. The ideal candidate must have sharp financial acumen, strong interpersonal skills and a passion proactive engagement and process improvement. This future member of our team will possess strong work ethic, ability to adapt to changing priorities, and capability to communicate effectively both horizontally and vertically within the enterprise.
This position is 100% remote nationwide.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support quarterly forecasting, period close reporting, and detailed variance analysis to aid in the management of the Business Group.
- Prepare and distribute weekly financial information and analysis within required deadlines and ensure that the information provided is concise, relevant, and understandable to assist Business Group and Account level leadership in making intelligent business decisions.
- Provide support to Director of FP&A and VP of Business Development with investment budget reporting and management. Utilize common analysis techniques to anticipate variances and work with business development team to drive compliance with budget envelope at the deal and account level.
- Develop financial dashboards and ad hoc reports to support Account Finance Directors and Group VP of Finance Operations.
- Regular interaction with functional peer groups (Program Control, Treasury, Corp FP&A, Accounting, Contracts, HR, Compliance, etc) and senior management requiring the ability to gain cooperation of others.
- Create procedure documents and support training or process improvement initiatives that affect operations.
- Assist with business case development, investment planning, proposal development, internal controls, and ad hoc analysis utilizing sound business judgment to optimize outcomes.
Qualifications
Required Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Finance or Accounting discipline, and minimum three (3) years’ experience
- Basic knowledge of federal government contracting
- Strong financial acumen
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with dashboard development using PowerBI
- Experience using Deltek Costpoint, Oracle EPM, SmartView, or ThinkCell
