The Director of Performance Improvement : is responsible for the hospital-wide planning, directing, and organization of the PI/Staff Development activities and submission of reports to Administration, Medical Executive Committee, and the Governing Body; leads Performance Improvement Committee and implements improvement measures based on findings from trend analysis; monitors productivity and quality of departmental services, ensures adequate coverage, and provides education to staff. Will be responsible for monitoring compliance with all State, Federal, and Joint Commission regulations and standards; assists with preparation for Joint Commission and other surveys and audits as necessary; coordinates educational events and provides employees the opportunity of improving skills and knowledge base by providing and facilitating in-services; collaborates with Human Resources regarding New Hire Orientation; acts as a liaison with the Infection Control Practitioner to ensure implementation and maintenance of a hospital-wide Infection Control Program; is responsible to work within departmental budgets.

Qualifications

Associate Degree from an accredited school or 2 years of experience in a Behavioral Health setting. Minimum two (2) years clinical experience in an acute psychiatric setting required; Minimum five (5) years preferred. Minimum three (3) years management experience preferred
