Responsibilities

A Catholic Clinical Pastoral Educator with additional responsibilities in supervising the work of the professional chaplains.
Responsibilities include teaching supervising conducting needs analyses developing educational strategies and
identifying and scheduling appropriate curricula and courses in coordination with the Manager of Clinical Pastoral
Education for the CPE program.
About 15% of this position will be spent in the supervision and oversight of the professional chaplains under the direction
of the Market Director of Mission Integration.

● Assisting in the development of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) programs to meet the educational needs of
participants.
● Delivering Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) educational programs to meet the educational needs of participants
and the spiritual care needs of patients families and staff.
● Assisting in the assessment of educational and clinical effectiveness including the supporting materials and
making revisions and changes as ended.
● Assisting the Market Director of Mission Integration in the supervision of the work of the staff chaplains and
volunteers responsible for Spiritual Care Services that reflect the needs of the organization.
● Responsible for appropriate management practices to assure that employees are fully engaged and that
appropriate staffing assignment competency assessment and development in areas of responsibility are
achieved within Department Budget parameters.
● Responsible for ensuring that the Sacramental life of the patients and of the healthcare workers is nurtured and
attended to.
● Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree as required for Chaplain Board Certification.

Roman Catholic 

Certification as a CPE Supervisor by a nationally recognized certifying
body i.e. the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) or the
National Association of Catholic Chaplains. (NACC)
