SAIC is searching for a Sr Scene Generation Engineer. The talented individual will create simulations for testing advanced optical sensors. These simulations must present scenes to optical sensors that duplicate the real-world in real-time. The successful applicant will have experience, motivation, and knowledge of a wide variety of topics, including science, optics, and computers. This job will provide the successful applicant with the chance to work on cutting edge technology and to make a real difference in the security of the world, today and tomorrow. This role will provide onsite support at Eglin AFB.
Qualifications
- Masters in engineering, computer science or physics
- 12 years’ or more experience in 6-DOF digital missile simulation development and evaluation, digital scene generation, and image processing
- Programming skills in C++, Matlab, and/or Python
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with a team
- Ability to multi-task and produce in a timely manner
- Obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance
Desired experience/skills:
- Scene generation codes such as FLITES, IRMA and OSC
- Terrain tools such as TerraTools
- EO/IR phenomenology
- Image processing
