Job description

Our organization is seeking a Vice President for our Alternatives Business Development team within our Institutional Client Group, dedicated to fostering growth in our alternative investment offerings.

Our Institutional Client Group is the cornerstone of our Asset Management division, serving a prestigious clientele that includes Fortune 500 companies and significant public sector entities. We are on the lookout for a financial services professional with a solid background in alternative credit, who is driven by growth, possesses a keen investment insight, and excels in cross-functional collaboration.

What You'll Bring to the Table

A Bachelor's degree is required, with an MBA and/or CFA highly preferred.
Over 12 years of proven success in capital introduction within the alternative investment space, gained through working with private equity funds, asset managers, or prime brokerage groups.
Demonstrated ability to engage with institutional investors across various asset classes.
A systematic and meticulous approach to managing client relationships, communications, and follow-ups.
Exceptional teamwork capabilities, able to work seamlessly with portfolio managers, product teams, senior management, and legal and compliance departments.
Deep industry knowledge spanning hedge funds, distressed debt, real estate, and Private Debt.
Comprehensive experience in alternative investment product development, relationship management, and sales.
FINRA Series 7 and 63 certifications.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
A commitment to a collaborative and inclusive work culture.
A strong work ethic and readiness to travel extensively for client engagements and industry events.

Your Role and Impact

As a Vice President of Alternatives Business Development, your primary objective will be to collaborate with our seasoned sales team to significantly enhance our alternative investment capabilities' AUM. Your responsibilities will include:

Identifying potential clients in collaboration with Investment Portfolio Managers and Sales teams.
Leveraging personal and organizational relationships to generate leads, engage prospects, conduct sales meetings, and present pitches.
Developing strategies for client engagement in partnership with the Sales and Relationship Management team.
Working closely with the marketing team to refine our sales approach based on investor feedback.
Staying informed on market trends and product structures to effectively meet diverse customer needs.
Representing our organization at industry conferences, capital introduction events, and organizing roadshows.
