PROGRAM DIRECTOR
DRCC RIVERSIDE is seeking a Program Director (PD) who will successfully provide the programmatic and personnel leadership for a team of DSPs, while maintaining a warm, friendly home in which persons being served are given the opportunity to reach their optimal level of independence.
This is a Full-Time salaried position. The starting wage is $22.50 per hour plus one $0.75 differential equaling $23.25 per hour. The benefits package includes: paid vacation and sick, eligible to participate in the medical/dental insurance, flexible spending account (FSA), supplemental insurance options, employer-paid basic life/AD&D and LTD insurance, and the 401(k) plan with Employer Match and Profit-Sharing.
The Program Director (PD) will:
A. Provide Program Leadership by:
1. Assuring that privacy and respect are shown to each person receiving services
2. Representing and promoting the rights and views of people served
3. Assuring that quality assurance measures are implemented and that licensing standards are met on a continuous basis for the health, safety and well-being of each person served
4. Developing, reviewing, revising, and implementing the Coordinated Service and Support Plan Addendum according to individual needs and applicable licensing standards
5. Assisting clients with personal care including lifting, transferring, bathing, and toileting as needed
6. Implementing behavior management plans including physical escorts, restraints, etc. when needed
7. Assuring that DRCC’s policies and procedures are followed
8. Directly supervising all personnel
B. Provide Personnel Leadership by:
1. Recruiting, interviewing, selecting, training and supervising Assistant Program Directors and Direct Support Professionals
2. Providing support, training, guidance and feedback to Assistant Program Directors and Direct Support Professionals
3. Promoting, facilitating, and maintaining a team management approach
C. Ensure Building Maintenance, Repair, and Improvement by:
1. Assisting in the determination of capital needs
2. Coordinating and assuring that building maintenance and housekeeping needs are met
D. Develop and Manage Program Budget by:
1. Establishing a budget with the Senior Director and CFO for each fiscal year
2. Monitoring and staying within the budget
3. Pursuing and monitoring funding for each person being served
E. Communicate and Coordinate services by:
1. Representing DRCC through positive working relationships with family, friends, professionals and the community
2. Promoting DRCC philosophy to all team members
3. Ensuring program continuity with work, day programming, and other community services on an ongoing basis
Currently we are looking for the right person who will provide the overall management and oversight for this program, meeting the needs for all persons being served, maintaining a comfortable atmosphere and opportunities to grow. Should be comfortable with providing personal cares and able to work overnight shifts, if necessary.
Our desired candidate will be passionate about improving the lives of others, possess maturity, integrity, honesty, and patience. All applicants must:
o a baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, and 1 year of full-time work experience providing direct care services;
o an associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full time work experience providing direct care services;
o a diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and 3 years of full time work experience providing direct care services;
o a minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities;
o four years of full time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities.
