CNC Programmer Precision Component Industries, LLC

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Review manufacturing process, methods, tooling, and prints to ensure machinists have everything necessary to successfully manufacture parts.

- Create and update CNC programs/tool paths for existing and new CNC machines as necessary to meet print requirements.

- Troubleshoot problems at CNC machines.

- Provide technical support for machinists.

- Daily interaction with Quality, Manufacturing, Quoting Departments.

- Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models.

- Analyze drawings to determine dimensions and to choose cutting tools, machine speeds, and feed rates.

- Maintain tooling database.

- Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product.

- Ability to read production schedules, and plan for material use to enhance manufacturing operations.

- Comply with all operating procedures, instructions, and safety rules.

- Communicate effectively with and work well with others.

- Recognize and report all quality issues to operators, line lead, and/or supervision.

- Performs other duties as assigned by supervision. 

EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a technical or associate degree program a plus
• Experience programming 3- and 5-axis CNC mills
• Familiarity with GibbsCAM preferred.
• Proficient in math including Algebra, Trigonometry and Geometry
• Previous work experience as a CNC programmer.
• Ability to read and interpret design blueprints.
• CAD experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
