Job description

We are designing the Grid of the future. Join Us in Making the Change!

Electric Power Engineers, LLC (EPE) collaborates with global power and energy clients to navigate complex engineering, grid modeling, and project development hurdles. For over 50 years, EPE has built enduring partnerships with power and energy clients globally. Our commitment to addressing complex engineering, grid modeling, and project development challenges has solidified our reputation in the industry. Our expansive footprint, with locations in Texas, Illinois, Canada, Panama, and Lebanon, allows us to serve a diverse international clientele. Our executive leadership, with a combined experience exceeding 250 years, has been instrumental in the successful execution of numerous generation, transmission, distribution, and energy storage projects.

At EPE, we cater to a vast spectrum of clients, ranging from investor-owned utilities (IOUs) to municipal-owned utilities (MOUs), cooperative utilities, independent system operators (ISOs), project developers, and independent power producers. We pride ourselves on offering a suite of solutions including generation interconnection, reliability planning, long-term strategy development, economic planning, and load interconnection. Our team, composed of dedicated and detail-driven consultants, is passionate about aiding our clients, ensuring they always get the best of our expertise.

Having ventured into the renewables industry at its nascent stages, we have witnessed and contributed to its fast rise. Today, we stand as a dominant figure in power engineering consulting. Our vision is bold: to triple our growth over the next five years while enhancing the quality and range of our services. We are at the vanguard of innovations, striving to shape the "grid of the future" and propel the electric power and energy industry into a new era.

Position Overview:

The role of the Project Finance Manager is pivotal to our growth strategy. We seek a dynamic individual who can establish and spearhead our project finance and bankability assessment services. This role will involve crafting a robust reporting framework that thoroughly assesses the economic, technical, regulatory, and contractual viability of various energy infrastructure projects. Through this role, you will have the responsibility of producing bankability reports that demonstrate project merits and serve to captivate the interest of banks, financial institutions, and investors. In this role you will be the primary liaison with clients, organizing discussions that gauge needs, advising on strategic paths, and highlighting project value propositions. Furthermore, you will play a matchmaker by introducing clients to the right financial service contacts and assisting in the bankability report presentations.

Your engagement will span beyond report creation. As the primary interface with clients, you will orchestrate and lead discussions to identify their specific needs, advise on potential strategic pathways, and underline the unique value propositions of their projects. An essential facet of your role will be to connect clients with appropriate financial service contacts and provide steadfast support during bankability report presentations.

Furthermore, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating and deepening relationships with both new and existing clients, investment firms, and financial service providers. While a degree of autonomy is expected, collaboration with our leadership team to understand and advocate for our services and innovations is integral to the role. We envision our Project Finance Manager as someone who is innovative, possesses a strategic mindset, and harbors a deep passion for fostering project development through the prism of financial services.
