Company description:

My client is a nationwide supplier of roofing products, a leader in the industry and have multiple sites across the US. They are recruiting for a Dispatch Manager with strong leadership experience due to someone moving on from this position. This is working a days position Monday – Friday, with the salary on offer for this position being circa $75,000 – $100,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities as a Dispatch Manager:

• Ensuring the efficient handling and storage of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and coordinating the movement of products in and out of the warehouse
• Managing a team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management
• Responsible for delegating tasks, setting performance targets, and ensuring that all warehouse operations are carried out safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures
• Responsible for inventory management including tracking stock levels, conducting regular inventory audits, and implementing processes to minimize discrepancies and stockouts
• Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing, sales, and logistics, to forecast inventory needs and ensure timely product availability
• Identify areas of improvement and implement strategies to optimize warehouse operations

Experience Required as a Dispatch Manager:

• Proven experience in Dispatch/Warehouse management (5+ years)
• Process driven
• Strong leadership experience
• Great people management skills
• Will take candidates with management experience direct from military
• Proficiency in production planning and scheduling
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
