Edna Bennett Pierce Prevention Research Center ( PRC ) in the College of Health and Human Development is seeking a temporary Part-Time Graphic Design & Digital Marketing Specialist for the
Prevention Learning Portal ( PLP ) project.
The candidate hired for this position can anticipate devoting approximately 15-20 hours per week to support marketing efforts, specifically promotional videos, for increasing PLP users and enhancing their overall experience. The position is responsible for providing design and digital marketing support across 17 weeks of time: March 1-June 30, 2024.
The successful candidate should have a high level of experience with graphic design software (Adobe InDesign in particular, as well as the larger Adobe Creative Cloud Suite), the Microsoft suite of applications, and design tools such as Canva. The candidate will work with colleagues and key stakeholders in crafting visually appealing content that engages various audiences to the online learning platform.
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Demonstrate excellent time management and communication skills
- Work well with a primarily remote, collaborative team
- Demonstrate strong planning and organizational skills
- Produce promotional videos for social media marketing, advertising, and communications

The ideal candidates will have background in life sciences, marketing, communications, or a related field and will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the graphic and web design landscape. A bachelor's degree is preferred, along with 2+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
This position will require successful completion of a standard criminal background check.
