Job Title: Formulation Scientist I / Manufacturing Sciences Scientist I

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Sunnyvale, CA - 94085

Job type: Contract

Work type: Onsite

Shift: Monday to Friday - 06:00 AM to 02:30 PM

A dynamic individual is required to support manufacturing operations. As a member of the client's Operations group, the candidate will participate in media manufacturing, characterization, and other associated activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Synthesize polymer particles using established chemistries
• Participate in process optimization, development, and scale-ups for routine production
• Perform analytical characterization of polymeric particles using specialty equipment and instrumentation (including ion-chromatography, particle sizing, and surface area instruments)
• Analyze data, derive conclusions, document findings, write SOPs, and prepare reports
• Present written and oral reports, and collaborate with multidisciplinary groups in R&D and manufacturing divisions
• Producing many of the resins that are key to the success of the client's Ion Chromatography portfolio
• Follow all EH&S safety requirements, participate in safety improvement activities, and carry out ISO9001 guidelines and corporate quality policy
• Ability to summarize and present experimental results and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required Skills / Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in the Chemistry laboratory & wet chemistry
• Ability to summarize and present experimental results and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Chemistry or equivalent work experience.
• Able to lift weights up to 40 lbs and meet all physical demands of working in a chemical laboratory.
