Job description
Under general Legal Department supervision, this position supports TierPoint’s legal and business functions by assisting with contract drafting and interpretation and other specific legal needs of the business units in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Provides quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values.
- Serves customers and coworkers with courtesy and professionalism.
- Assists attorneys in the preparation, negotiation, and review of customer and vendor contracts, statements of work, property leases, license agreements, partner agreements and other legal documentation.
- Assists Legal Department in building and maintaining a centralized database of contracts and monitoring performance obligations under such contracts.
- Assists Legal Department with corporate registrations and licenses.
- Collaborate on legal matters in areas of responsibility with attorneys, internal stakeholders, and outside counsel.
- Assists in legal budget tracking, invoice logging, coding and processing.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Paralegal Certificate, A.B., B.A., or B.S. from accredited college or university.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a certified paralegal with an emphasis on contracts working in either a corporate legal department and/or a law firm.
- Adequate professional experience and knowledge to perform Job Responsibilities.
- Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and Windows-based computer applications
Preferred Experience
- Prior commercial contracts experience preferred.
- Prior experience with information technology contracts desired.
