Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to oversee the daily operations of the ER department. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for managing a team of nurses and support staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and supervise a team of nurses and support staff in the ER department

- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care

- Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff, providing feedback and coaching as needed

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans

- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and guidelines

- Manage staffing and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient care

- Oversee the maintenance of accurate patient records and documentation

- Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for the ER department

- Identify and address any issues or concerns within the department in a timely and effective manner

- Stay updated on industry developments and best practices to continuously improve the ER department's operations

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required, Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred

- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California

- Minimum of 4 years of experience in an clinical setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role

- Strong knowledge of emergency nursing principles and practices

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

- Ability to make critical decisions under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards

- Proficient in computer skills and electronic medical record systems

- Manages a team of 20-30 direct reports
