Job description
We are looking for a Senior Maintenance & Service Engineer to join our team!
We are a technology integration firm that solves physical security problems, primarily for industrial and commercial firms, schools, and brand-centric organizations in the greater New Jersey area and beyond. We specialize in physical security technology like video cameras, access control, and the software to connect everything.
Position Overview:
The engineer will be responsible for managing maintenance and service projects, resolving technical issues, and providing advice on system operations for a major government client we represent with sites throughout NJ. This position will cover a variety of equipment and systems such as IT, Physical Security, Cisco, Firewall, Firewalls, and IP Networking.
The primary responsibilities for the Senior Maintenance & Service Engineer include:
- Ensuring the maintenance and service of IT and physical security systems.
- Providing technical support and advice to key stakeholders in resolving technical issues.
- Monitoring system performance and providing regular maintenance of systems.
- Assisting in the design, implementation and testing of new systems.
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of current security systems and technologies.
- Developing and implementing maintenance and service policies and procedures.
- Travelling to client sites as needed.
Qualifications:
No expectations of coming to an office every day, but candidates should be based in Eastern PA or Central NJ as this role will require travel to client sites throughout NJ.
- 5+ years of experience in IT and Physical Security.
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Valid driver's license and good driving safety record.
- Experience with Cisco systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate industry safety certifications.
- Strong knowledge of system performance monitoring and maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
