Responsible for creating visual representations of text documents for web and print designs; develops original designs, layouts, text and headlines for various products such as brochures, cards, online content, and strategic presentations; utilizes creative abilities to effectively portray design concepts; enhances ideas and artistically improves draft images to create high-resolution, high-quality images.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Utilizes a general style guide to ensure company products are uniform in color, font, and measurements; communicates style guidelines to internal customers to ensure incoming design requests are branded.
- Effectively communicates and coordinates design plans with internal and external customers; ensures design images are prepared for online movement and works collaboratively with various technical professionals.
- Assists senior designers with strategic marketing plans for external customers; supports Senior Designers with proposals and design concepts for print and web content aimed at meeting strategic goals.
- Familiar with various design needs and branding differences; works collaboratively with other designers to ensure quality product.
- Performs routine press checks to ensure and approve the quality of final print products before printing mass jobs; ensures colors, measurements, and text are well represented as it relates to the original design concept; conducts press checks along with customers for high profile products.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Professional - Education & Experience
- 4-5+ years experience related work experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field
- Working knowledge of HTML
- Advanced knowledge and experience using the latest Adobe Creative suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Professional
- Advanced knowledge of the printing process
- Marketing and Branding Understanding
- Strong communication, conceptual thinking, typography skills and design skills
- A strong and diverse portfolio showcasing previous design work is essential
