Job description
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Ultrasound Technician Supervisor at the Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, NV.
Position Highlights:
- Schedule: 8, 10, and 12 hours shifts.
- Typically, Monday through Friday, day shifts.
- Will occasionally work evenings, overnights and weekends.

Position Requirements:
- Graduation from a radiologic technologist-training program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiological Education (JCERT). An associate’s degree or higher in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography field is highly desired.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, through American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Computer-based training does not fulfill this requirement. Certification must be maintained at no cost to the government.
- At least one (1) year of experience in mammography, including performing tomography mammograms, is required. Experience must include the required performance of 200 exams within the last two (2) years. Some biopsy experience is also required.
- Current registration as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.

Job Responsibilities:
- Leading the Diagnostic Sonography training platform.
- Conducting formal training in Ultrasound Technology for students in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Phase II training program.
- Performing a variety of ultrasound exams following established protocols.
- Ensuring quality control and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
- Graduation from a radiologic technologist-training program accredited by JCERT.
- Registration as a Radiologic Technologist by ARRT.
- Associate’s degree or higher in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography field is highly desired.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- Registration as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer by ARDMS or ARRT required.
