Renaissance Benefits is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our growing organization in our Texas territory.
At Renaissance, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for personal sales production as well as hiring, training, and developing sales reps in his/her assigned territory. They are also responsible for overall sales, retention/revenue, and profit goals in assigned territory. This is a producing sales manager role.
What will this role entail?
- Develops strategies and plans to acquire new business and retain business in assigned territory to meet sales and retention goals.
- Develops and maintains relationships with key agents, consultants, and decision makers in assigned territory to assure that sales goals are met.
- Accomplishes regional sales human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees in assigned territory, communicating job expectations, and enforcing all policies and procedures.
- Works with Sales Director to establish sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for assigned territory to support national objectives.
- Is also responsible for managing local support team and assuring that customer needs are being met through a coordinated team effort.
- Responsible for assisting sales reps in finalist presentations to win new business.
- Utilizes and supports the use of our CRM (Salesforce) for managing, tracking, and reporting all key metrics of sales results.
- Builds and maintains strong, collaborative home office relationships with the executive team, underwriting, actuarial, HR, and administrative support to assist in closing profitable business and facilitate client satisfaction and loyalty.
- Continually monitors competitor’s products and creates strategies to win business from those competitors.
- Works with marketing to develop a strategy to create more awareness of the Renaissance brand in the market.
What must I possess to qualify?
- Position requires a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
- Five years of direct experience in sales/sales management, preferably with one year of leadership experience. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
- Requires a life and health license in all states in assigned territories.
