Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Checks works orders to assure packaging specifications are correct; assists exit end operator in weighing, banding, and tagging coils
• Operates forklift
• Assists exit end operator in making hookups; unloads finished coils from recoiler; operates a scrap shear, removes scrap and packages material for shipment
• Maintains a clean and safe work area; assists in clean ups and changeovers in the coater
• Proper handling and disposal of all hazardous material including rags and solvents
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

High school Diploma required. One year of experience preferred.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

MathematicalSkills:

 Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

 Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
