HOURLY RATE: $27.40 - $34.22

This position works from the Sedalia branch of CORE Electric Cooperative. This position does not work remotely.

CORE employees are required to work in a safe manner in accordance with regulatory standards and requirements.

Responsible to the People Operations Manager for duties related to the People Operations Department. The Coordinator is a support role to the People Operations team, employees, and applicants. Responsibilities include support for People Operations programs and projects to include onboarding of new employees, wellness reimbursement program, benefits administration, records management, and day-to-day support as requested.

Minimum Qualifications of Position: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Must demonstrate a high degree of proficiency with Micro­soft Office applications - particularly MS Word and Excel and a demonstrated knowledge of human resources systems/applications and programs. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent customer services skills, have the ability to work collaboratively within a team, be learning agile, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications of Position: The ideal candidate would possess two years of experience supporting a human resources department.

Knowledge and Skills: Requires professional and strong customer service skills when regularly interacting with union and non-union employees, applicants, vendors, team members and leaders. Regularly works with confidential information, which, if disclosed, could have an adverse internal effect. Individual integrity is essential, as information utilized and created in this position is highly confidential. Phenomenal customer service skills. Meticulous attention to detail. Ability to follow up and through to completion of all responsibilities. Ability to accurately follow instructions. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Sound organizational and time management skills. Maintains employee confidence and strictly protects the operations by keeping information confidential. Interprets CORE Electric Cooperative policies, the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and governmental regulatory requirements. Exercises sound judgment to analyze situations and make decisions related to the duties assigned. Requires normal mental and visual attention.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Maintains accurate employee files and records including I-9 documents. Maintains and updates employee status-change data. Responsible for data entry and the integrity of the data of the human resources systems including the organizational chart. Assists with human resources data analytics and reporting. Responsible for reimbursements for the Wellness Program. Tracks and manages the administration of employee recognition programs. Coordinates with the IT Department to maintain the accuracy of the Active Directory. Responsible for the People Operations intranet pages, updating content and maintaining all related People Operations documents. Coordinates with the IT Department to maintain required email distribution lists. Prepares and completes verification of employment requests, following all related processes and procedures. May assist with maintaining calendars of HR team. Sorts and delivers department mail. Responsible for internal and external communication to and from the department inbox, inquiries, or requests. Responsible for tracking budget expenses. May process expense reports for the department including invoicing, p-card reconciliation, mileage, etc. May assist in maintaining EEO reports. May assist with coordinating logistics for new hire onboarding. May assist with the administration of health and welfare benefits, including enrollments, ter­minations, employee and retiree notifications, processing bonuses and stipends, and compliance with governmental regu­lations. Provides administrative support to the People Operations Department. Answers the telephone, relays messages, and maintains equipment and supplies of the Department. Performs other duties as required.
