GENERAL DESCRIPTION
2nd Shift Maintenance Position
This position is responsible for equipment and building maintenance, operation, custodial care, press set-ups, fire & safety programs & equipment inventory control.

ESSENTIAL JOB FU NCTIONS
- Contribute towards the establishment of preventive & predictive maintenance.
- Able to troubleshoot using Allen Bradley RS Logix software.
- Participate in equipment installation, commissioning & start-up.
- Help with the day-today electrical maintenance.
- Active in servicing, troubleshooting, repair & installation of a wide variety of manufacturing equipment & facilities maintenance .
- Maintain equipment in accordance with scheduled preventive maintenance program.
- Evaluate equipment reliability & take appropriate actions to improve performance.
- Provide mechanical expertise when necessary to reduce equipment downtime.
- Maintain appropriate logs & records as needed to properly track & maintain identify technical problems & provide practical solutions appropriate to the size & complexity of projects.
- Communicate successfully with other member of the maintenance team .
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Must have 5+ years’ experience as maintenance technician/mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in heavy industry preferred.
- Aluminum extrusion experience a plus.
- Must have working experience of the following: temperature, pressure, AC & DC control methods 110, 208 & 480V electrical systems & troubleshooting, VFD’s, burner controls, PLC control valves. Blueprint reading and mathematics.
- Preventive/predictive maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, pipefitting & blueprint reading.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal, team building & communication skills at all levels.
- Must be able to work any shift, Monday – Sunday.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMEN T
- Exposure to all types of temperatures.
- Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping, bending, lifting and reaching overhead.
- Physical strength sufficient to move parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Sufficient manual dexterity required to perform job properly.
- High degree of care required to operate in a safe manner.
- Appropriate safety equipment is necessary.
- Overtime hours may be required.
- Requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week. Occasional overnight deliveries.
- There may be regular exposure to mild discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes, odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts and bright lights. Typically located in a warehouse setting.
