Summary
MSX is launching a new data driven startup team. This team will be built from individuals who want to be entrepreneurs and create new innovative digital products for the mobility industry. We are looking for individuals who exhibit curiosity, are extremely resourceful, enjoy being creative, bring lots of energy & have grit.
This position will serve a critical role to bridge the gap between business users and agile development teams. Product analysts work closely with software developers, project managers and our business users to write user stories, manage the product backlog, perform release planning, and escalate issues, as necessary. They must have an excellent understanding of the business needs that they represent, the technology on which they are building and ensure a great end-user experience. Candidates must have strong communication, documentation, and facilitation skills, with a proven record of leading complex projects with multiple business partners. Strong project management and Agile skills are required with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget and exceeding adoption targets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create, document, and manage business conceptual data artifacts, such as conceptual models, critical data element inventory, and define the data based on business usage.
- Manage data requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation processes to capture business needs.
- Manage and understand business process efforts that take data in, manipulate the data through business rules and produce data outputs.
- Manage multiple requirements gathering efforts at one time and be able to assimilate into cohesive end to end data requirements when there is data overlap.
- Oversees deliverables and documentation as required.
- Work with cross functional team to create and validate User Interface designs and wireframes
- Work with business project managers to translate customer needs into a backlog of user stories for software engineers and accept these user stories as they are completed
- Act as the voice of the project with data analysts, business team, ISC (InfoSec Compliance), IT, senior leadership, and development teams
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline.
- Familiarity with software used for project management (Monday, Microsoft Planner, JIRA, etc.)
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent time management skills.
- 2+ years of experience in software Product/Business Analyst role.
- 2+ years of experience in agile development.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to adapt communication style based on the audience.
- Experience leading and documenting recurring project status meetings.
- Excellent Reasoning skills.
- Enthusiastic, highly motivated and ability to learn quickly.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-3 years automotive operations experience, or similar business (quick-paced environment).
- 2+ years of experience in customer experience design, product development and/or Software Development.
- Experience managing and curating a product backlog.
- Previous external client facing experience.
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle.
- Experience communicating with external clients.
- Familiarity with Governance, Risk, and Compliance processes and standards (NIST, ISO 270001).
