We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Northeast US Regional Sales Manager to join our team and drive our growth in the Northeast US region. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing sales resources, and expanding our customer base and market share. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will:
- Coordinate sales strategy across regional sales resources consisting of direct outside sales personnel, manufacturers’ reps, and distributors.
- Utilize data mining and analytics to identify new market and customer opportunities.
- Actively manage the demand creation pipeline and ensure timely follow-up and closure of sales leads.
- Achieve or exceed region sales and gross margin targets and report on sales performance and forecasts.
- Maintain active and regular territory visit schedule and build strong relationships with customers and channel partners.
- Coordinate across AFSI functional departments and Amphenol divisions to maximize capture rate on new opportunities and ensure repeat business.
- Provide project management oversight on customer business execution as needed.
- Create and execute the sales elements of the multi-year strategic plan.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 to 10 years of technical sales experience in the electronics industry, preferably with fiber optic products or solutions
- Self-starter with focused analytical problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as computer and presentation skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to travel 50% of the time with overnight stays, and work from home office in a major metro area with access to a major airport on the east coast (PHL, BWI, or IAD are preferred)
- Knowledge of the aerospace, military, oil and gas, and industrial markets, and their fiber optic applications and requirements (preferred but not required)
