As a Direct Support Professional at Community Interface Services, you will have the incredible opportunity to support a dynamic individual in living his life to the fullest. Your role will involve providing household maintenance, light cleaning, cooking, and personal care. But it doesn't stop there!

You will also embark on exciting community explorations, accompanying this individual as he takes public transportation to various social activities, such as live music events or sport outings. This is your chance to not only be a caregiver but also a companion on thrilling weekend escapades . With this position, you are able to work a full-time position in the span of only three days (Friday through Sunday)! This position earns a starting rate of $18.00 per hour, plus earn two incentives of $625 each after completing brief online trainings (a total of $1250 in extra pay before taxes)! Earn a $0.50 per hour pay increase after completing a six-month development and performance program! ARE YOU THE direct support professional WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

To excel in this role as a Weekend Support Specialist, certain skills and qualities are essential. You should have experience in personal care, including lifting and transferring individuals from a wheelchair, ensuring their comfort and safety. Maintaining boundaries is crucial, as you will need to balance providing support while respecting personal space and autonomy. Being dependable and reliable is paramount, as this individual will rely on your assistance throughout the entire weekend.

Good communication skills are also imperative, allowing you to effectively communicate with the individual and coordinate activities. Additionally, your ability to work through an entire weekend is vital, as this role requires your presence and availability during this time. Basic qualifications for this role include:

• Preferred experience working with the IDD population and background in behavioral counseling
• Ability to work weekend and overnight shifts
• A solid work history and references that can attest to your dependability and reliability
• Car in safe working order, vehicle insurance, Valid CA driver's license, and 2 years of driving experience
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
