Job Details:

• Contract: 13 weeks
• Pay Rate: $55/hr - $2,198/week for travelers
• Shift: Days - 36hrs/week - 7 am-7:30 pm
• Experience: 2+ years

Description:

Also known as nephrology nurses, dialysis nurses are responsible for overseeing dialysis treatments required by patients suffering from acute or chronic kidney failure. They check and record patients’ vitals, ensure that dialysis machines are set up correctly, and teach patients how to operate home dialysis machines.

• Checking and recording patients’ vitals before, during, and after dialysis treatment.
• Ensuring that hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatments are administered to patients correctly.
• Monitoring patients during dialysis treatment to identify any adverse reactions.
• Preparing and updating nursing care plans.
• Promptly notifying the appropriate medical practitioner of any problems that occur during dialysis treatments.
