Position Description

As a Sales Estimator, you will be expected to operate independently, set priorities, and resolve competing needs to provide timely information. This position will work closely with our Sales team, project management team, engineering team, subcontractors, and operations team. This position will focus on generating detailed cost estimates, creating bid scopes of work for both plan and specification, along with design build projects. Estimating tasks include material takeoff, equipment selection, development of cost estimate, development of engineering and field hours, and scope of work. The ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications and develop a complete estimate will be a daily task. Controls and HVAC technical knowledge is required to efficiently develop accurate cost estimates. Develop and maintain unit pricing and cost estimating database for material, labor and other costs associated with data for products, vendors, and subcontractors. Organize vendor and subcontractor quotations, negotiate pricing while ensuring quotes to meet contract documents and requirements. In this position you will establish and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external customers. Knowledge of Siemens BACnet DDC Controls, Tridium N4, Distech DDC Controls, and HVAC Mechanical Systems is highly desirable.

Qualifications

The following qualifications along with individuals previous work experience will be considered by the company when evaluating applicants:

• 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of experience in the controls and HVAC field
• Advanced computer skills
• Have and maintain a professional image
• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as required
• Excellent communication skills
