Job description

In the automotive industry, analyze designs and investigate feasibility and pricing for goods and services upon customer request. Analyze customer requirements, prepare new business quotes related to engineering development. Develop program objectives by reviewing program proposals and plans and conferring with management. Determine program responsibilities by identifying program phases and elements as well as assigning personnel to phases and elements. Determine program specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards. Assist with program schedules by studying program plan and specifications as well as calculating time requirements and sequencing program elements. Maintain program schedules by monitoring project progress and resolving problems. Track status of assigned programs via customer database (i.e. Powerway, Covisint, Supply Power) and maintain and reports the status of APQP (CPQSS, covisint, supply power). Coordinate and conduct open issue meetings for customers to manage the overall program timing. Ensure prototype deliveries are delivered correctly, within engineering specifications and on time. Receive and analyze prototype parts and develop packaging requirements and labels for prototype distribution. Create, review and track budgets for program testing and prototypes. Develop and maintain positive customer relationships and act as the engineering expert and for customers. Analyze, design, and manufacturing feasibility for automotive cluster systems (specifically the speedometer). Use Stellantis programs as well as PLEX, RFQ, PTC and CATIA. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent based on evaluation of academic credentials, training and/or experience) as well as twenty-four (24) months in job or job related experience to include, in the automotive industry, analyze designs and investigate feasibility and pricing for goods and services upon customer request; develop program objectives by reviewing program proposals and plans and conferring with management; determine program responsibilities by identifying program phases and elements as well as assigning personnel to phases and elements; assist with program schedules by studying program plan and specifications as well as calculating time requirements and sequencing program elements; coordinate and conduct open issue meetings for customers to manage the overall program timing; ensure prototype deliveries are delivered correctly, within engineering specifications and on time; create, review and track budgets for program testing and prototypes; develop and maintain positive customer relationships and act as the engineering expert and for customers.
