Position Summary

The Plant Resilience Institute (PRI) at Michigan State University invites applications for up to two Postdoctoral Fellowships in plant resilience. The PRI is a collaborative, multi-disciplinary institute whose mission is to enhance plant resilience to environmental challenges including extremes in weather and climate change ( We aim to generate cross-disciplinary foundational and translational plant research to stabilize the productivity and enhance the quality of food and energy crops while minimizing input and protecting the environment. The positions are for up to three years, which are subject to renewal after each year.

We encourage applications from candidates in any early-career stage, from finishing PhD students to current postdoctoral scholars. Successful applications will propose future research that brings together existing strengths in the PRI with the applicant's own research background/interests to expand the PRI research portfolio

Required Degree

Doctorate -Plant, Soil, Microbial Sci or Related

Minimum Requirements

PhD in a field related to plant, soil, microbial sciences, ecology, or bioinformatics/genomics.
