Paint Counter Sales Associate - Immediate Opening!

Are you a customer service enthusiast who enjoys helping home and business owners find the perfect products for their projects? Do you have a passion for painting and decorating? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Paint Counter Sales Associate!

In this role, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service and assisting customers in selecting the appropriate paint, tools, and other items for their projects. You will also handle customer transactions, maintain accurate sales records, and undergo extensive product and sales training to become a technical expert in all the products we offer. Your friendly and trustworthy nature will make you a natural fit for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding customer service
• Assist customers in selecting the appropriate paint, tools, and other items for their projects
• Process customer transactions using point of sale software
• Accurately handle cash and credit payment methods
• Ensure accurate sales records and database maintenance
• Undergo extensive product and sales training to become a technical expert
• Stay up-to-date on the wide selection of products and their benefits and warranties
• Maintain a harmonious work environment
• Contribute to a team effort and accomplish team objectives
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain a clean and tidy store

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in the paint industry preferred
• Proven record of providing outstanding customer service
• Willingness to continually learn and develop skills and product knowledge
• Excellent communication skills
• Bilingual English and Spanish fluency strongly preferred
• A passion for, or experience with, decorating or design
• Availability to work on Saturday mornings
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace programs
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
• Fluency in English is required, Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred
