Warehouse Supervisor - Immediate Need

Job description
Our client is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor with exceptional critical thinking skills to lead our shipping and receiving team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of 7 employees, ensuring smooth operations and efficient processes within our warehouse facility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the shipping and receiving team to meet operational goals and deadlines.
• Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate and improve warehouse performance, including but not limited to inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and on-time delivery.
• Utilize your background in inventory management to optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory.
• Utilize ERP systems, particularly SAP, to track inventory, monitor workflow, and generate reports for analysis.
• Lead by example, demonstrating flexibility in scheduling to accommodate varying workloads and deadlines. This may involve occasional early mornings or late evenings to ensure operational continuity.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, procurement, and production, to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.
• Train and develop warehouse staff to maintain high performance standards and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve performance goals.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and process improvement.
• Proficiency in inventory management principles and practices.
• Experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP, for inventory control and management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
