As the Claims Reinspection Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a comprehensive understanding of our claims data, systems, regulations, and field processes. Your responsibilities will extend to managing a unit within the Claims Reinspection Department, where your focus will revolve around enhancing all facets of quality, production, and customer service. Your primary objective will be overseeing the Property Claims Reinspection Team, dedicated to the meticulous Field Claims Quality Assurance process over both independent and staff adjusters, as well as preferred contractors. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;
- Provides direction, coordination, and evaluation of staff and vendors.
- Assists with technical claim reviews. Evaluates and reports on quality trends including, but not limited to, field staff/independent adjusters, and CastleCare preferred contractors.
- Lead and manage a team of Florida Claims Reinspection professionals while fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the reinspection team.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team members meet performance goals and adhere to company policies.
- Prepare and present regular reports on reinspection activities and trends. Utilize data analytics to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the reinspection process.
- Establish and maintain quality assurance standards for the reinspection process.
- Review and analyze reinspection reports to identify discrepancies, errors, or fraudulent activities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline processes and improve overall claims efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies for the effective reinspection of insurance claims.
- Assists with the development of the annual budget, staffing analysis, and salary recommendations.
- If deposed, act as Corporate Representative as needed for industry related matters and claims in litigation.
- Plan and conduct department meetings. Assists with staff development and coordinate needs with Training Manager.
- Liaison to other departments and point person on special projects concerning workflow, process, vendor, and technological matters.
- Assist Catastrophe Response Team, as needed.
- Acts as a liaison with Human Resources Department. Monitors disciplinary matters. Involved in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified staff.
Education and/or Experience: Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent of 5 years related Property Field Claims experience required.
- 1 year supervisory or management experience in Property Claims.
Preferred: - Proven experience with CoreLogic and estimate accuracy tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of insurance industry regulations and compliance requirements
- Advanced industry certifications (CPCU, SCLA, CLM, etc.).
- Project Management, and/or Process Improvement experience.
- 5+ years of field adjusting experience.
- 2+ years of claims quality assurance experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory/management experience of property claims or property claims QA teams.
- Vendor management experience.
