Responsibilities :
Manage the month-end close process, review of closing journal entries, account reconciliations, and the preparation of month-end financial statements and analysis.
Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations and GL activity, including verifying, classifying, computing, and posting transactions such as revenue, accounts receivable, cash, accounts payable, accrued expenses, and payroll in accordance with US GAAP.
Responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvements and reporting enhancements to expedite the daily accounting and month-end closing processes.
Assist with various financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, projections for AR collections, etc.
Monitors cash flow and assists with cash flow forecasting.
Review monthly bank reconciliations and other workpapers, as well as some workpaper preparation.
Analyze financial records to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes to summarize and interpret the current and projected financial position of the organization,
Assist Senior Accounting Manager in preparation of financial reporting on an as needed basis for projects.
Work with Senior Accounting Manager to research technical accounting issues and assist with implementing accounting policies and procedures.
Assist with implementation of new accounting software modules.
Work to identify opportunities for improvement and be part of solution finding team.
Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction both internal and external.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business
3-4 years of accounting experience
Public accounting experience required
CPA preferred
Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial close processes
