Job description
Chevo is currently hiring several different levels of experienced Project Manager to join our expanding firm. The ideal candidates will ensure technical operations has an efficient and effective software lifecycle program including software packaging and deployment processes as well as sufficient knowledge and expertise, to operate in support of IRS requirements The positions will be a hybrid work environment, with the client site located in the Washington DC metro area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
·Review and document current state Architecture and map technology to business capability in support of the portfolio and standards
·Provide a fully documented client lifecycle process to include image, updates and maintenance, baseline, and above baseline software lifecycle management plan.
·Ensure compliant imaging and software management of systems to ensure alignment to hardware management and shipping to ensure self-service to users.
·Fully tests solutions in a modernized test environment with minimal downtime that would previously impact to users
·Provide architecture and engineering services to ensure all use cases are aligned to standards in compliance with Federal requirements
·Provides gap analysis and makes recommendations to close gaps; supports Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) for noncompliant technology
·Ensures alignment to business goals, roadmap and priority
·Use Change & Configuration Management and/or ELC processes to implement approved architecture solution.
·Provide planning, strategy and documentation support that aligns existing and new technologies to the Portfolio and Standards
·Recommend, engineer, and deploy new solutions to ensure standardization, decrease cost, complexity and/or risk and increases security and business continuity
·Prepare required documentation including program-level, project, admin, help desk, and user-level documentation
·Guide and advice regarding the intended designs and interdependencies of other products.
·Identify deficiencies and potential risks, remediation and design improvements associated with the completeness, quality and/or depth of the design.
Required Qualifications:
·Five to ten years plus (5-10+) overall project management experience
·Previous experience ensuring alignment with portfolio, standards, and maintain client satisfaction
·Previous experience in supporting the User Support Organization in the deployment and installation of software and/or hardware to include deployment plans, reports, technical documentation and education to technical staff and customers
·Previous experience creating cost effective management using standards allowing forecasting for additional license needs as well as metrics for deprecating less valued software tools.
·Ability to pass client security clearance requirements
Desired Qualifications:
·BS/BA degree, preferably in a computer- or information technology-related discipline.
Experience with working with the IRS; specifically, the Criminal Investigation division
·Active IRS High Risk MBI clearance is a plus
·PMI PMP is a plus
