We are seeking a highly skilled, professional DATA Strategy manager to join our dynamic and growing team. As part of the Merchandising data enablement organization, this role will be a crucial enabler of our digital transformation strategy. You will work collaboratively with business stakeholders, data stewards (data managers), scrum masters, program management, and engineering teams to ensure on-time delivery of Data strategy projects with quality results.
This role will report to the Director for Data Product and Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Drives the development and management the implementation of the Data product development roadmap based on knowledge of business and data strategy.
- Plans and coordinates development of data assets, strategic initiatives, and ensures integration into roadmap based on knowledge of short-and longer-term needs of a single data category.
- Drives collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and requirements. Consultants, educates and influences the data journey across the organization.
- Executes product development within a moderate to complex category, ensuring achievement of data product development objectives and identifying and prioritizing tradeoffs across data product development initiatives.
- Drives the execution of business plans and projects to meet customers and operational needs; communicating business plans and priorities; reporting on barriers and obstacles that impact performance.

- Product Roadmap & Development: Builds a product roadmap with proper phasing. Communicates with cross functional partners and stakeholders. Builds stakeholder alignment. Independently manages backlog/priority tradeoff decisions and communications. Manages product/feature rollouts and scaling and iteratively optimizes the product.
- Data Driven Strategy Decisions: Independently conducts activities for product/feature analytics. Monitors, collects, and structures data and evaluates results. Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of exploratory data analysis.
- Influencing & Building Stakeholder Consensus: Communicates in stakeholder meetings involving multiple teams. Conveys complex information and addresses ambiguity for robust data asset development. Influences team members and stakeholders with sound recommendations. Independently prepares clear, concise, and logically structured reports/materials. Seeks and provides constructive feedback, anticipates needs/questions, and responds appropriately.
- Technology Orientation: Demonstrates a basic understanding of privacy & security policies and process. Owns business and user acceptance for products/features. Independently represents data requirements and drives data design outcomes. Demonstrates an understanding of data architecture, services involved, and database and cloud technologies used. Drives informed discussions with engineering teams and stakeholders to assess feasibility and risks and prioritize efforts, features and capabilities.
- Domain Expertise: Identifies areas of innovation across the Data Analysis, Data Visualization, Business Intelligence and Reporting, shares innovations with the leadership team and drives initiatives. Recommends new processes, automation opportunities and ways of working for subdomains. Consultatively influences and recommends new processes, automation opportunities and ways of working.

- You have knowledge and working experience in cloud and data technologies: GIT, SQL, Spark, Druid, Hive, Hadoop, Teradata, GCP and BigQuery
- You have strong experience and have working experience of technologies for Analytics, AI, Business Intelligence, Visualization, and Reporting E.g. Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, Python, etc.
- Product Management Certification or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) is always a plus.
Qualifications:
- Capable of managing multiple stakeholders, anticipating their needs, and gaining alignment for strategies from executive level stakeholders
- Strong communication skills (oral, verbal, and listening) as well as the ability to influence key decision-makers and understand their points of view
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and execution skills with the ability to drive results, deliver and excel, and own it when you don’t
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, growing environment and work well with ambiguity
- Proven ability to drive results, especially in a matrixed or influence based environment
- Understands, describes, and navigates existing work and makes recommendations with a clear sense of organizational impact
- Experience in practicing agile methodologies – Scrum, Kanban
- Proficiency in using tools such as Jira Board, Confluence, Roadmap Tools
- Technical experience in Data Analytics, Data Visualization, Business Intelligence, AI, and Reporting.
