Apple is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated Revenue Recognition Financial Analyst to ensure the company is meeting our revenue recognition control and compliance policies. The Financial Analyst partners with various groups, manages extremely confidential information, and is a direct point of contact with our external auditors. This person needs to have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to understand how new product decisions and business/sales processes can impact our ability to align with revenue recognition policies. We are looking for someone with strong accounting experience, focus on control and compliance, and a deep interest in Apple’s products, business and strategy.
Key Qualifications
- Deep understanding and practical experience in revenue recognition, Sox and U.S. GAAP standards in the high-tech industry.
- Detailed oriented, highly motivated and organized
- Excellent communication, presentation, social and analytical skills; success identifying problems and developing solutions in a demanding environment.
- Experience working in a dynamic, deadline driven environment with shown ability to gather and analyze large amounts of data at a macro and micro level
- Strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture while working with ambiguity and uncertainty. Advanced proficiency in Excel required, experience with SAP is preferred.
Description
The analyst will be responsible for all aspects of revenue recognition compliance in Sales Finance and Product Marketing Finance. Ensures Sales Finance and Product Marketing Finance comply with U.S. GAAP, Sox controls, ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers) and company policies in revenue recognition. Apply strong work ethic to work in a fast paced and high energy environment with business partners on complex accounting and business issues. Strong business partnership with Corporate Technical Accounting on executing company policy and guidance on revenue recognition. Succinctly communicate to the accounting shared services teams around the world on revenue accounting guidance and policies. Follow up with the teams to ensure execution is done timely and accurately Owner of the company’s revenue recognition Sox controls. Develop global consistency in revenue accounting methodologies and process while focusing on efficiencies and strong controls. Ability to understand and articulate the revenue impact to the company whenever there is a change in revenue recognition policy. Quantify and communicate impact to the Corporate FP&A team. Single point of contact with internal and external auditors
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. CPA with 4-6 years of Big Four audit experience in the technology industry is preferred.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $105,200.00 and $158,100.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
