Job description
Data is at the center of all of Alex Lee’s business operations and business insights. The Master Data Management Technical Lead is responsible for ensuring technical implementation and maintenance of the MDM enterprise solution. This role is also responsible for adhering to the policies and practices that result in the highest level of quality, standardization, and protection of business-critical data.
1) Maintain core master data strategy objectives for the enterprise, with a focus on quality and compliance.
2) Lead the development and implementation of master data management solutions, system configurations, system integrations, and data protection standards.
3) Collaborate with business teams on timing, data requirements, and system processing workflows for all pertinent master data management domains.
4) Prioritize acquisition of new attribute data sets and manage the up-front work to establish data usage standards.
5) Lead technical discussions with 3rd party providers of data feeds for product and suppliers.
6) Provide 3d party providers with integration connections that are secure and optimized for data storage capacities.
7) Develop and maintain diagrams of architecture, data flows, and information maps.
8) Map out and configure authorization and permission levels in collaboration with Business Data Owners.
9) Develop, test, and migrate into production system workflows to move data across enterprise systems.
10) Provide direction to DBAs on primary and foreign key management for source data transfer mapping.
11) Partner with business unit data stewards to ensure clear accountability for quality and stewardship for enterprise data.
12) Drive continuous improvements to ensure data integrity is 100% and all items are attributed for use across the variations required for wholesale and retail grocery operations.
13) Maintain an enterprise data dictionary for data domains controlled by the master data management system.
14) Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements.
15) Provide progress reports to the CIO and the Data Governance Steering Committee.
16) Serve as Product Owner for the Stibo STEP MDM solution.
17) Manage a prioritized project portfolio and roadmap of technical capabilities for master data-related initiatives.
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business discipline.
Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Minimum of 7 years of Data Management / Governance experience.
Experience as a hands-on technical lead for an enterprise system.
Understanding of related functions such as risk management, data architecture, and technology.
Highly adaptable to changing demands.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team/group setting.
Experience leading a team and driving results.
Proven ability to self-manage and complete project deliverables.
