IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Working Condition: Remote > this position is a Remote position with some requirements for in-person work. You must live in the United States to qualify for remote work.
This position is a permanent, full time and a SEIU represented position.
Per the SEIU CBA for OHCS represented positions, applicants who are current OHCS employees will be given full consideration and vetted through te recruitment process before utilizing the external applicant list.
This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified applicants to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
The primary purpose of this position is to independently develop, negotiate and administer complex or high-risk grants, contracts, and agreements that may be politically sensitive and have multiple funding sources, funding arrangements and policy interpretation throughout the pre-award and post-award phases.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Five years procurement and contract experience related to the position such as developing and administering standard contracts, agreements, or solicitations.
-OR-
A bachelor’s degree and two years of professional-level procurement and contract experience related to the position.
-OR-
Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of procurement and contract experience related to the position.

Strong knowledge and expertise of state purchasing processes, policies, and systems.
Advise Managers and staff on procedures for developing contracts, grants and other agreements.
Thorough understanding of the legal aspects of contracting and the associated legal liability.

Ability to negotiate, establish and process contracts.
Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
Accurate and precise attention to detail.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated awareness of race and social justice, including the ability to positively influence equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.
