Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist to work in a acute care setting located in Fontana, CA. A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) working in an acute care setting plays a crucial role in assessing and treating individuals who have speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Pay Rate : $63/hr Shift : 8:30am-5pm Benefits : Healthcare, Dental & Vision, Life Insurance Job Duties: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Gather patient medical history, including relevant information about their condition, surgeries, and treatment plans. Perform clinical evaluations, which may include bedside swallow assessments, cognitive-communication assessments, and voice assessments. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, patient goals, and medical status. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to coordinate patient care. Provide therapy to improve speech sound production, language comprehension, expression, and cognitive-communication skills. Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address specific speech and language deficits. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, including assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans. Communicate assessment findings and treatment progress to the healthcare team through reports and meetings. Qualifications: A master's degree in speech and language. State licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist. 1 yr exp, AHA BLS, Experience performing Pediatric evaluation 18mos-school age, and some Adult dysarthria and aphasia. Mainly Pediatric evaluation experience
