Job description
Senior Accountant
Location: Aurora, IL- Oversee daily operations in a manufacturing or construction company, carrying out simple to complicated accounting tasks and supplying senior management with financial information. help with subsidiary accounting administration. Answer directly to the CFO.
- Examine the trial balance; post journal entries; reconcile general ledger accounts; reconcile bank accounts; reconcile intercompany accounts; reconcile credit card accounts; reconcile inventory; and analyze P&L trends. - Support the creation of credit memos and invoices. - Oversee employee reimbursements, invoice payments, and AP aging analyses, making sure that all are accurate and properly approved. -Oversee the weekly cash flow analysis, daily cash reconciliation, positive pay, wire transfers, and ACH. - Analyze fixed asset activities and make necessary adjustments, retirements, capitalizations, depreciations, or adjustments; Keep accurate and comprehensive fixed asset records and reconciliations; Assemble fixed asset documentation for property tax submissions that are handled by a third party processor. -Assists in the yearly budget preparation; compiles and evaluates financial accounts and reports as requested by management. -Aid in the preparation of general liability, equipment, and vehicle audits and insurance renewals. - Take part in the yearly assessment of finances. -Help with the preparation of sales and use taxes, personal property taxes, and income taxes. - Showcase leadership in the creation, recording, and application of standard operating procedures for the department in order to guarantee best practices and compliance; When faced with obstacles, maintain your composure and fortitude and view each one as a chance for professional development. -Assume responsibility for creating, preserving, and growing fruitful business connections by building rapport with both internal and external staff; Continue the two-way conversation.- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or related business field
- 5+ years of relevant experience is required
- Excellent computer skills required, proficient with MS Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel) and related software applications
- Strong mathematics proficiency
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
