Job description

Mobile Health Team Inc., a staffing agency has an opening for an RN - Medical/Surgical. We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Location: Carbondale, IL 62901

Assignment Start Date: 3/18/2024

13 weeks | Nights| 12-hour shift | 36 hours weekly

Looking for Med/surg nurses who are competent in patient safety, (patient education, safe environment, minimizing falls and preventing errors), competent in EMR-Epic, stroke certified (that's our biggest patient population) post-operation patients, drains, chest tubes, heparin drips, wound care, altered mental status and CIWA patients. Nurses who are good with communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving, team work oriented, dependable, and good with time management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess patients to determine their mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team.
• Provides explanations and instructions to patient/responsible person.
• Demonstrate ability to use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
• Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict using professional communication skills.
• Meets Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care.
• Participate in continuing education.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience: At least 2 years of general nursing experience.

Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registration:

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Require BLS/BCLS certification

EMR System: EPIC experience preferred

Shift: 7 PM-7:30 AM, Weekend Requirement Every other weekend
