Kelly Science has an immediate opening for an Environmental Lab Supervisor for our growing client in Williston, ND
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 - $39.00 per hour + Relocation Assistance
Key Responsibilities:
1. Laboratory Operations Management:
Oversee daily operations of the environmental testing laboratory.
Coordinate and schedule analytical work, ensuring timely project completion.
Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments (titrators, GC, IC, ICP).
2. Supervision and Leadership:
Lead a team of lab technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
Delegate tasks, monitor progress, and maintain a collaborative work environment.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
3. Data Validation and Reporting:
Review, validate, and report laboratory data for accuracy and compliance.
Prepare comprehensive records, ensuring traceability and audit readiness.
Communicate results to clients and regulatory agencies.
4. Customer Service:
Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers.
Collaborate with clients to define project requirements and address concerns.
Serve as a point of contact for technical inquiries and project coordination.
5. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure laboratory operations comply with industry standards and regulations.
Implement quality control and assurance procedures for data integrity.
Participate in internal and external audits as needed.
6. Technical Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of environmental testing related to oil and gas releases.
Proficiency in analyzing parameters such as DRO, GRO, BTEX, Cations, Anions, Metals, pH, Conductivity, TPH, etc.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
7. Budget and Resource Management:
Assist in budget planning and resource allocation.
Optimize resource utilization while maintaining high-quality services.
Assignment of projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (Environmental Science, Chemistry, or similar).
5 years of Environmental laboratory experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
Expertise in operating and maintaining laboratory instruments (titrators, GC, IC, ICP).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of Environmental Testing in the oil and gas industry.
Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and quality assurance protocols.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
